When choosing a fisheye, what do you look for? There are two in my price range that I would like to experiment with. The Canon EF 15 f2.8 or the Sigma 8 f4. Both are circular fisheyes. Which is better, diagonal or circular fisheye, or is it really just personal taste?

I usually make sure that they're blue... i just love blue eyes.
(I apologize in advance. No experience with a fisheye.)

My understanding is that a circular fisheye lens takes 180 degree wide photos, however it has the round photo with black around it look like a door peephole. Diagonal ones are 180 degree diagonal so the actual width isn't as high as 180. But there's no border, just a nice clean fisheye image.
The Canon is one I mean to pick up some day.

If you have a cropper, get the 8mm because the 15mm won't give you the fishy look you may be expecting.
