This group lost one of it's members to a brain tumor last month. This is from a tribute show they put on yesterday. Their first show without their bandmate.

Thanks Adam, I used the 28-135 for those and I'm pretty disapointed with the softnes. I think some of it has to do with the fog machines they have going but I'd love to have a sharp zoom F2.8. Here is a pic of Bill Furious. I used my 50mm for this one what a difference in sharpness.

You've captured the mood just perfectly Nick. Well done. :)

Photography can be many things, it can be documentation, it can be repesentation, it can be art. But most of all, it is emotional. It can tell a story, it can relate a feeling, it can recall. And that is what you have done.
All the sharpness, lack of noise, great composition means NOTHING if the photo doesn't move you, if the photo doesn't cause a reaction, if it doesn't say something. And you had something to say.
Good job.

Thanks, it really means alot to me. I've been trying lately to push beyond my usual shots and raise a level. I don't think I'm there yet and who knows if I'll ever get there. I guess it's all about the journy, eh. I see new gear as a means to an end, it gives you the ability to bring your vision to life.... and it's fun to buy...

Great shots Nick... can feel the mood in these, that's for sure. About the 2nd shot, it seems a lil bit noisier than the others? Or maybe just the angle/light.
