I have a powershot s400.

I have 15 month old daughter and trying to take lots of pics indoors. Seems that after I take one pic there is a quite a delay (seems like foreever but probably 3 to 5 seconds) before the pic is taken - I think due to the flash needed to recharge. More often then not I miss the pic I want/wanted to take because of the delay.

1. I'm wondering if I have something set wrong or if this is typical of the camera?

2. If so, I'm wondering if there is something else on the market that provides better performance/speed w/ flash photos?

Thanks

Mike

No, it's not typical of the camera to lag 3 or 4 seconds after a photo using a flash. I would know b/c the S400 is a camera I use for alot of indoor flash photography when I go on vacations. It should take no longer then a second or even less to charge the flash.

hmmmm. is your battery fully charged before you photography w/ flash? Weak batteries slow down the process
