Hi guys, newbie here i'm from the Philippines and i play a lot of sports (outdoor soccer and indoor soccer at times), do a lot of travelling and go to a lot of parties. i would like to take nice shots at those occassions. I'd like to get a DSLR but i can't really afford it and I'm not too keen on the idea of bringing such a huge camera with those lenses etc.

The ultrazooms are quite attractive to me at this point, especially the Canon Powershot S3 IS:

-price is right
-looks cool
-great zoom
-compact
-great quality of shots
-uses SD cards (very affordable)
-uses AA batteries (affordable)
-great battery life
-no changing of lenses and filters etc
-has the option to use those lenses with the adapter
-image stabilization
-i like canon cameras ahehe

However, i'd like to know which camera i can get which would be able to take nice shots at soccer games. i know that its pretty easy to take scenery and people but i'd like to be able to take neat action shots of my friends when they play soccer and ultimate frisbee.
