I can't decide which to buy - the Nikon 3200 or the 3700? For looks, I think I prefer the 3200. However, I don't know about the features. The prices are the same in Amazon. Both are around $230. What are the pros and cons of each? Please help me decide!

You can go here (http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/cameraList.php), check off your two cameras, and make a side X side listing of all their features; maybe that'll help you decide. Looks like the 3700 has moved to SD cards, away from AA batteries, which may or may not be to your liking? One good thing to do would be to go to a camera shop where they carry both cameras, and put your hands on them, see which one feels better in your hands.
I had similar question a month back. Posted the query here and elsewhere.
I have read reviews of these two cameras and Canon Powershot A75 which has similar features plus some more. I finally bought A75.
After comparing the quality of picture on the net ( imaging-resource.com and pbase.com ) of both 3200, 3700 and A75 - I found the quality of A75 is better !!! This may complicate your decision but you can try A75 also.
Regarding features :
1) 3200 uses AA batteries and you get them everywhere. 3700 uses Li battery.
2) 3200 has movie mode with 15 frames per second and 3700 got 30 frames per second.
3) 3200 is not ultra compact but 3700 is sleek and can go in any pocket.
4) 3200 is not all metallic but 3700 is metallic.
5) Rest all are same in both 3200 and 3700.
Compare sample photos at (imaging-resource.com).
Goodluck.

I compared, and like the 3700 photos best. Slightly sharper than A75, and colors campare more closely to the professional camera models. I like the size, slips easily in shirt pocket. Have been using a Minolta Xt, but it lacks sharpness and good color. P.s. Nikon is offering a $100 rebate on their 3700
now. I plan to buy the 3700 with 256MB memory card for $323.95, including 2-day air (net = $223.95 after rebate).

Wow. Not bad. I like the A75, but the 3700 at that price would be hard to resist. Once again it's a good thing I'm on a budget, as there are a lot of good all-in-ones that are getting downright cheap.
Have fun.
