When you connect the camera dont you have an icon in "my computer" you can drag and drop files?
Also when you plug the camera in you have three options, download, upload or remote capture. Least mine does.
You use zoombrowser?

At least on the Mac version of the software there's an "upload to camera" option. The big limitation is if the EXIF data doesn't say Canon in it the software will yell at you and refuse to upload it. So if you say, edit it in Photoshop and try to put it back it won't work.

ZOOM Browser 5.6 appears to let me do this on my S3.
It also lets me upload different themes (shutter click sound, etc.) to the camera. (I could probably upload empty or very quiet sound files so I wouldn't disturb wildlife!) I can even put my name in Canon's MakerNotes for all future pics (maybe in the S3's firmware too!).
Hope this helps.

You know you can just turn the shutter sounds off, right? hehe
