View Full Version : Good way to mark images for copyright protection?

I am interested in a software utility that can/will do one of two things. Mark exif data in a way it can't be easily changed again or watermark images. I want to provide work to customers digitally but I don't want them to be able to strip my info off the images to try to avoid giving me photo credit and/or paying me either. I know the camera body puts a serial number on every image in the EXIF data (I'm assuming that body serial number is unique?).

I'm sure the easiest way to achieve this is just not to give out digital images but I'm thinking I'd just provide them in low resolution small sizes so they can't be blown up over 3X5 (with any quality) and maybe watermark them as well. I wonder why no one's come up with a way to load this kind of info directly to the camera so it would be recorded on every image. I have a 20D and a original Rebel, would like a 30D (some good prices out there right now).

Oh one last thing, whatever package you suggest needs to run on xp 64 bit professional (not Vista).
