KM 5D Autofocus Broken

The autofocus on my 5d stopped working today. Has anyone else had this problem?

The only thing I can think of different than usual is I used the camera in cold weather - about 32degF, but the camera didn't break until several hours later, when the temp was about 65 degrees. My warranty ended about 7 weeks ago, and the flat rate for Sony to repair it is US$281. Bummer.

If anyone is interested, I sent the camera to the Sony repair contractor, Precision Camera in Connecticut, on Nov 25. I used UPS 3 day select, so with the weekend they had the camera on Thursday, Nov 30. On Monday, Dec 4 they repaired it and shipped it back, also using three day select (I didn't request that, they just did it.) UPS tracking says it will show up this Friday, Dec 8. That will be just under 2 weeks, and the flat rate repair cost US$281 (ouch.) The flat rate only applies to repairs that would have been covered under warranty. If the camera was abused they'll send a quote before they fix it, so it may or may not cost more than $281. If Ihad been in a hurry, I'm guessing I could have overnighted it on Thursday, Nov 30 and had it back in a week and a day.

I'll post again if I have any problems, but so far I'm satisfied.
