I just bought an S3 from ebay. Everything looks to be in order but i need to confirm one thing which im not sure off..
When i switch it on, the lense extends all the way out but when i zoom in/out it retracts/extends very slightly. It doesnt retract fully back inside using the zoom button. Is this how its supposed to be?

Yes, it is. If you look into the lens when you zoom in and out, you can see that it moves a lot more on the inside.

lol i meant whether it was a UK product and produced for the UK market.
The reason i asked is i want to find out whether the warranty is valid. The seller did give me the original receipt but this could have easily been a photoshop job.
I've got a PDA and i can tell from its serial number whether its a UK product or whether its an import.

Try and register it on the canon europe website. It will tell you if its a non european serial number.
