Love the belly photo shoot at weekly intervals... what a clever idea. I will have to remember that one for our next child... if my wife will let me take pictures of her body!! lol

I'm glad you posted it! It's very good for your first shot.
It's hard to see much to comment on in the picture in its black & white state ... from what I can tell, the focus seems good. Your composition is nice & tight, which adds intensity to the photo. The only suggestion I have is, whenever possible, have the subject looking toward the middle of the frame. It might be interesting to see your original shot, too.

I love the bw I have problems with putting EVERY picture in bw!! haha I groomed her after that shot though! All the little ear mats don't add much to the shot! haha

Everyone's tastes are different so take any advice on composition with a big pinch of salt - you will never please everyone :D Personally I find the top one too tight, but on the original the background is too dominant. I like the Black and white, it certainly minimises the background, but this is in part down to the tight crop! ;) You certainly have the basics right, just enjoy it and play lots!!!!
