The difference b/w a U.S. standard cam and a Non U.S. cam. I called yellowbeephoto to get the Canon A710 IS and the asked which I wanted. The site shows the Cam is $240 but when telling me about the U.S. standard it would cost $298. He also told me it was the exact same cam with the only diff being the warrenty. Thanks in advance.

Yes .. but *no warranty* is a big deal if you have problems with the camera. Makes the difference between having it fixed for free in the warranty period vs. paying for it yourself.

The cameras are all made overseas and need to be imported into the United States, delivered to dealers, and supported.
Canon USA (located on Long Island in NY) imports, distributes, and provides warranty service for the cameras it sells. These cameras are the ones that have a 'USA Warranty'.
Other companies can purchase and import the cameras from overseas as well; for example, B&H Photo. B&H also purchases the same models from Canon USA. It sells the cameras it imports as "Imports" and the ones it purchases from Canon USA as "USA".
The only real problem is when someone purchases an item that doesn't have a USA warranty and needs warranty repair in which case they can only hope that the dealer they bought it from has a mechanism to get their camera serviced.

Yellowbee is trying to scam you. Typical Bait & Switch tactics of fraudulent websites. There ARE differences as stated, however a website that sells both will advertise both and have both prices listed, NOT require a phone call to choose one.
