My sister is getting a Digital Camera for Christmas and she has no idea which one to get. My parents will be buying the camera form a retail store and not online. Style is a big deal to her, so it definetly needs to be ultra-compact.

Budget

$200 Max--Will not be buying online.

Size

Ultra-Compact. Style is a very important to her.

Feature

How many megapixels will suffice for you?

4-5 Should be fine.

* What optical zoom will you need?

Not a big deal. At least 3x though.

* How important is “image quality” to you? (Rate using a scale of 1-10)

Do you care for manual controls?

Not at all. Simple is better for her.

General Usage

* What will you generally use the camera for?

Taking pics of herself and friends.

* Will you be making big prints of your photos or not?

No.

Will you be shooting a lot of indoor photos or low light photos?

Not really.

Will you be shooting sports and/or action photos?

Nope.

Miscellaneous

Are there particular brands you like or hate?

She doesn't really care about brand.

Just giving you some tips on the 'style' cameras.
You can click on REVIEWS & INFO (http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/cameraList.php), and see the list with pictures of the cameras.
Canon SD 600.
Fuji Z3, Fuji F20.
Nikon Coolpix S9.
I'm sure there are also many more older models though I'm not familiar with them all.

It will be hard to find a good one for only $200. Tim's list looks like the best options.
