Canon S410 or SD300

Hi all, i've narrowed my choices to one of these , but not sure wich one to buy yet. This is my first digital camera i'll get. Any input would be appreciated.

I had exactly the same dilemma as you, and as you'll see if you read my post on this forum, I went for the S410. However, I was able to make up my mind only because I was made a very good offer, otherwise I would still be torn between the two and would probably spend hours or days of indecision (I'd say weeks but I need this camera for a conference on Tuesday). I suppose you know all the advantages and disadvantages, such as better movie mode as against better lens etc. An important factor for me was that the lens on the SD300 is not as good as the one on the S410, and no matter what people say, I find the difference noticeable -- slight but noticeable. Then again, I think it all comes down to what you're really after. It's great to have the better movie mode, but are you sure that that's what you want? You need to weigh the pros and cons against your needs. That's what I did, and I ended up with the S410. But I can understand that for other people the SD300 may be the best choice.
