Has anyone used this brand? I have a friend who can get me 2GB 133x CF lifetime warranty cards for $55 plus tax.
Promaster is another name for Hoya.

That would make sense that it is THK. Are the Promaster lenses priced much cheaper than their Tokina labeled counterparts? I never saw this brand name come up in the ultrawide lens comparison for example.

I never knew Hoya made lenses. I was amazed to find they made a K-mount manual focus camera under their ProMaster logo, the other day.
Personally, I would be wary of cheap lenses, cheap filters and cheap fish.
Years ago I used to work in the summers in a children's camp in Jurmala. One year I refused to work there as the previous summer somebody had walked off with some of my stuff. As the camp operated a doorlock-less policy, they were responsible. Anyway as I hadn't taken anything expensive I didn't lose much. I did lose a book of poetry that I rather liked though. So, that year (thank God I refused to work there that year) the camp director bought some cheap fish. She thought she'd got a bargain. The cook refused to cook it but was threatened with dismissal if she didn't so she cooked it for hours and hours. Eventually the director demanded that everybody be fed and declared the fish to be ready. For the next few days the camp was a hospital. Local families took in sick children. Some of the children were so sick they had to go to hospital. The teachers (of which I would have been one) were all sick too. The government sent an inspector to close the camp but the director bribed the inspector and kept the camp open. The moral - beware of cheap fish. I wouldn't have eaten it anyway - I normally ate down the road in Dubulti at the cafe frequented largely by local whores and "missionaries" from "the church of the morning star" (church of the morning wallet, more like).
So... just because something's cheap doesn't mean it's any good.

Hoya doesn't make lenses, THK is an acronym for Tokina, Hoya, Kenko, the main lines of THK Photo Products, Inc. the US distributor for those lines as well as SLIK tripods.
Fortunately I don't eat any fish, but since I've become involved with photography I've managed to avoid anything that resembled cheap- see sig. below.
