View Full Version : wireless transmitters, pc cords, etc....

i have to do some studio-like shots towards the end of this month, and i have some questions....

i have one sunpak ds-20 flash...i could get a hot shoe adapter to connect a pc cord to the flash, but i'd really hate it if i tripped over the cord and my camera fell. i tried searching on google for wireless transmitters for my flash, but i couldn't find any. are there any transmitters made for third party flashes? or would it be easier/less expensive to use a pc cord?

in order to get a pure white background (example: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jameswashing10/278100308/), would i need one or two (or more?) flashes? would i also be able to achieve that with the flash bounced off of an umbrella, with another flash bounced/diffused?

if i were to use umbrellas, how large would they have to be (i'm taking group shots - no more than 2-3 people).

i'm a poor high school student, so i don't have a lot of money to spare!
