Minolta XD11/Konica Minolta lens ?

Hello, Just curious if anyone knows if my lenses from an older Minolta XD11 film camera will fit on to the bodies of Konica Minolta Maxxum 5/7 digital slr's ? I totally forgot about that camera sitting up in my closet shelf for years... Thx

Hey Troop -
You likely already got an answer from somewhere else, BUT in case you haven't......

Unfortunately, the non-auto focus camera lenses will not work on the KM dSLR's (or any of the Minolta AF cameras for that matter).

EXCEPTION: There is an adapter that will allow the various manual focus lenses to be used, BUT there are some limitations inherent with their usage.

I don't know all the limitations, but I believe all metering must be done in manual mode and flash sync is manually set. Obviously auto focusing is out of the question as well. Like you, I also have some Minolta manual focus lenses i would really like to be able to use with my 7D, but it doesn't seem worth the hassle for me. YMMV.
