Is the E-500 able to wirelessly take photos via a remote or something? Also can you make it so that you see the image on a computer/laptop while taking the photo? And if there is such a product, what is the range on it, can it be extended?

Any help is much appreciated.

The standard Olympus IR remote works with the E500. But your question seems to be more geared towards using the camera tethered (or wirelessly connected) baack to your PC and then software comntroling the shutter from there? That is not possible as far as I know.

And to your question about seeing the image 'while taking the photo' is not possible if you are implying that you want to remote view your shot BEFORE releasing the shutter. Like nearly every DSLR (except the E330 and new Panasonic), there is no live preview available. Only the optical viewfinder is used to see your shot beforehand. After taking a photo you can review it on the LCD.
