Hey everybody.
I am, as indicated, a newbie to this site, but have had my camera for just over a year and this is the first time I've noticed this problem. Today while taking pictures for a client, two of the pictures have weird striations in them (attached). If you look across the door and the bricks, you can see what I am talking about. (Shadow's only) These pictures were in the middle of today's shoot and the before and after are without these artifacts. This example is 100% and cropped in order to reduce the size available on photobucket. The sun was at the apex of the day and the only thing that I've guessed is that the striations are a weird reflection off the sensor. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know what the life time on the shutter is? (ie: how many pictures can I expect to get out this camera?) Thanks for any and all help!

That looks more like a problem with the sensor than any weird lighting effects.
