I'm about to enter into the digital world and am leaning towards the Evolt E-500 body along with the 11-22mm f2.8-3.5 lens. I'd like to hear some feedback about both these products as they will comprise my primary system and lens.

not good, but excellent lens
ofcourse it is a sealed lens too
you might also check out the 7-14 zoom
the remarkable thing is, both lenses are quite distortion free
the 7-14 is quite expensive

I'm definitely picking up the 11-22mm as it will replace my EF-L 20-35mm f2.8 lens. There is a lens from Sigma, an 18-50mm f2.8 - a very compact lens - which I'm considering for wide to portrait as opposed to the very slow kit lenses available. So far the few reviews I've come across are very positive: http://www.shuttertalk.com/articles/sigma1850ex/index.php

The 7-14mm is a stunning lens. It will be at the very top of my wishlist. I was surprised by how large it actually is. You're right about them being distortion free which is incredible for how wide they are. I'm really looking forward to getting my new digital camera system and very happy not be paying Canon prices either.
