Is there any software that will print the time/date a photo was taken on or just below each photo? I need to do a batch for legal purposes.

Exif info depends on the camera settings, which can be set to anything, plus you can easily edit the exif information in a photo to read any date and time you like.

So in other words, having a photo with a date/time printed on it means nothing, at least in a legal, "proof" in court sense.

This is a district court so I doubt it'll get questioned. The photos are the most important thing - confirming my testimony and that of my wife and neighbours.

I have not tried it but there is something in Epson photoquicker. Its in Layout - photo - information. One reason I didn't try it is the software will not let me ! The software may not be able to read the data I suppose.

You could always download the software and see if you can get it working; the option may also be in other printing software its just a mater of finding it.

Looks like Irfanview has the option as well - but again it didn't work for my photos.
Ah but it will work but not on images that have been reduced in size, as I suppose the data has been removed. Also it prints to the page not the photo but with some adjustments of paper size ? you should be able to get what you want ?

Canon's easy photo print does this function but if you color balanced it or did any post processing I've found that most software changes the exif data date when you do that so your date would not be the original shot date but the date you modified the image. Some software leaves the exif alone too.

May not be the same but should be, every image on the card is date stamped could you just take a screen shot of the directory showing the file date on every image? (which by the would should be the same as the exif date unless you modded the image with something).

Apple's Aperature will allow you to customize what Metadata you'd like printed below each picture.

It's probably a little late for you but for future reference, iView Media Pro will do it as well. Just set up the view options to show the EXIF Capture Date and when you print a catalog, it'll be printed below each pick.
