hi guys! another dumb question again...

im thinking to buy some lenses from b&h since they have some rebates, and they are really cheap compare here in london... but im just wondering does anybody here has an experience buying from B&H overseas? especially the tax issue? does b&H helps me to reduce tax cost? or they declare exactly how much the item is?

That is the link to the B&H live help. Go click there and ask your question to a live sales person at B&H

You'll get hit by Duty + VAT which basically makes it not worthwhile to buy from B+H. Having said that if you went on holiday to the US you could buy in the US and fly home having had (almost) a free holiday.

You could buy the lens in the US with a NJ ship to address, send it to Canon to test quality under warranty and have them return at as a 'repair' to you in England 'bypassing' all taxes and fees.

Or get a mate to ship it over/pick it up etc.

I would avoid getting friends you find online from doing it, however.
