Wow, what a weekend! 2:30 am at the show on friday wake up at 6:00am on Saturday to help my brother move in the morning, get changed and head over to the wedding for 3:00pm. I stayed at the wedding until 1:30am, boy am I tired!!!
The wedding was a blast to shoot. I tryed to get a hold of the wedding organizers to see if they wanted pictures of the bride getting ready, but they never returned my call:rolleyes: so no pics of the bride before the church. The church was very small and there was no room for me to move around. So I was stuck in a spot that had very little opritunity for good pictures. After the ceremony we went to a park where they had hired a photographer to take "pro" shots. They were mostly boring poses. I guess all the regular stuff that people like so I hung around and took some candids. Trying out my creative side.... trying the optimum word!:D after that the reception.
I have a whole new respect for all you WP!!!
I ended up taking over 5gig. I couldn't have done it with out the flash, and if I ever did one again I would want a zoom with a F 2.8 or a better prime.
Enough talk here are a few. Coments and critisism is always much appreciated!

Nice job for sure Nick _ seems as though the WB is off in some and too the colors are little flat. With a little effort you can adjust and get very nice results.
If it bothers you that I edited one of your images just tell me to remove it and will gladly. ;)
This one for example I saturated the colors, upped the contrast and a tad bit of sharpening to bring out the detail.

All of them. I used the sto-fen diffuser on the outdoor shots and bounced the flash off the ceiling or the wall for the indoor shots.

Please be my guest! Thanks for taking the time to show me. I still have a lot to learn about PP. I use neat image to reduce noise and sharpen. I have photo shop CS2 but am still just in the experimental stages of learning it. Looks like I might be spending more time on the computer than I did taking the pictures :o

Welcome to the digital age! You did a great job for your first time out. Tweak the images as Bluedog suggests and you're good to go. :)

Thanks Peter,
How many pictures do you WP usually prepare for the CD? Do you include all the pictures you feel are good, or do you cut it down to reasonable amount and only include the best? Thanks.
Great shots Nick. Scratch my post from earlier, I didn't know the wedding was the next day. I still haven't posted any of my pictures from wedding due to I've spent alot of time at computer and I'm not a PP genius. Again very good shots. Did you shoot RAW?

Good captures Nick, I like the one at the end of the first page best, I think. It looks to me like you frame a bit too tightly, although I don't know if these are cropped. Also, try some USM -- I can see a bit of "haze" in most of them. Good shooting!

Thanks noyjimi, I do compose a bit tight but for most of them I took a few shots at different focal lengths. I like the closer in shots because there were very distracting backrounds in almost all the shooting locations.
I know I'm showing my ignorance here but:o but what is USM?
Thanks

I hear ya about the backgrounds, it's not easy to just increase the aperture either as the dof might be trouble. Sometimes I just leave it alone, or blur it out in post processing. Sometimes I end up tilting the frame also.
USM is unsharp mask, it's a way to sharpen the image (despite its seemingly misleading name) - if you use Photoshop or whatever, there is most likely a tool preset for that. In CS2, you can start with 60%/.6/6 (this will make sense once you see the USM window in CS2) as a rough baseline.
