So I have been looking at putting this Sigma 28-70mm f/2.8-4 DG on a Nikon D50 and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with it or could offer some advice. The price seems amazing and so far the reviews I could find seemed to deem it a very qualified lense, but $75 for a lense of its supposed quality seems unbelievable.
Thanks

The MTF charts are kinda ..eh...lol..

Your lens is gonna be kinda soft wide open but stopped down, it looks pretty good. If you low in cash maybe. If you got enough, try looking at some of the constant f2.8 lenses.

This was my first non kit lens and I really enjoyed the quality. When stopped to f4, it becomes pretty sharp. The range is useful, but not wide enough. Contrast is so-so not very contrasty, and correcting in photoshop doesn't looks as good as a good lens would. I would recommend the lens if you have a $100 budget. AF motor is a bit noisy and build quality is ok, the finish is nice, but feels cheap overall
