what is the idea of using picture styles??? what are the advantage of using the picture styles and tweak up the highest settings? does it affect a good composition?

do you use picture style?

I use Neutral for W&P (sometimes Monochrome) and Standard for most other stuff.

i'm curious myself. i'm on whatever default is, i just edit later.

btw, quick question, if you shoot raw then it doesn't change anything right? do picture styles only apply to jpeg?

Yep; RAW is raw. Although the PS are tagged in the metadata and used as a default render of the image in RIT and DPP.
