im about the buy filters for my sigma 18-50 f2.8 EX... but im wondering if i should spend the money on the PRO filters, PRO UV or Multi coated UV filter? PRO CPL or just a CPL filter? any suggestions what this good filters could be different, except the big gap of prices... :D

There are different grades of filter:

uncoated,
single coated,
multi-coated
super multicoated
digital super multicoated

The better the coating the higher the price but it's an exponential scale. The gains beyond ordinary multicoated are lesser for each higher grade yet the price is the opposite.

Personally I don't think it's worth getting more than multicoated or super multicoated unless you want to use the filter on time exposures.

For UV I recommend the B+W MRC UV.. Its multicoated but the surface is water and scratch resistant and I find much easier to clean than the Hoya filters...

For Polarizer, just go for a cheaper (but not cheapest) one thats still Multicoated, like maybe the Hoya HMC range...
