Ahh! Well then you def. understand! Thank you also for your service! I went to school at Texas A&M and had to go down to Fort Hood for one of my commissioning physicals...long drive!! I've not been to Kentucky, other than maybe passing through...would the location have been better, or just a better post (base)? Or you can ignore my question all together if I'm being too nosy.
Well first off everyone that went through the XM1 manual validation program got choice assignments courteousy of the Sargent Major in charge, if they stayed at Fort Knox... Knox was a training base so they always had a "mission" to train troops. Fort Hood on the other hand was a political nightmare. The powers that be had too much free time on there hands so the best thing they could come up with was to mess with the troops. Well some troops at least... It's a real long dreadful story. I'll tell you all about it in an e-mail... it'll take a while to type up though... wait till you hear what I had to go through just to get out. What I also learned later on, if your assigned to a training base to begin with, that would be the area in which you would spend most of your assignments. Which would have been great by me! Silly me, I had to go for the hot climate.

Explain please...is there a reason you don't want to go back and forth bet. two cameras with memory cards?
Well the first thing that comes to mind is the naming convention. Though I know what it does... I am not sure how each camera formats their disks or if it changes from firmware to firmware.
I have a couple thousand pictures already stored and am looking for something that won't crash every time I go to play with the program like iPhoto does and then also has the more advanced capabilities for post processing...
niether program has given me any problems

Picasa seemed to snatch up and find all my pictures with no problems. I've got tons of pics well over 2K. I use CS2 primarily for editing I'm about to install production studio here in a bit.
I realize that, just don't want to flood this thread with questions/discussions that don't apply to the contest if it'd be better to start a new thread or move to an already existing one...
