Enjoy! These were taken with the R1, most with a tripod, some with a polarizer, some with a close-up lens and some with fill flash.

You have some great shots there. Some good use of creative PP, and a lot of variety. My favorite is "Bridge over Stowe Lake." I like the composition and the colors, although I think it could use some straightening, and maybe the lit area in the top is a little distracting? You could probably tone it down in PP.

I also like "Man and Dog," although the perspective seems wierd. Both in man and dog. Maybe it's just that I'm not used to seeing dogs like that. But the man seems to be leaning in at the head? Maybe he was just a leaning old man :o

I also really like "Wood on Beach." I love the detail you've brought out in the wood. But the sky is strange and distracting. Looks like some creative PP, but maybe if it was lighter, and more uniform, it wouldn't be so prominent. But I think the wood looks great as an abstract.

I also really like the way your site is set up. With the large photos, in simple scroll style. Plus, it doesn't take forever to load. Thanks for sharing, and I hope you were open to my suggestions. If not, don't take offense :) I really like your pics.

Thanks for the suggestions. I improved the sky in the Wood on Beach shot as you suggested, made it more natural. I don't think the Bridge over Stow Lake shot needs straightening though, there was a natural incline that can't be seen on the right side of the photo, so the horizontal is about as natural as I can get it. In Man and Dog the man is elderly and was in fact a bit hunched forward. He was also very shy.

Thanks!

OK, I finally noticed I had a PM ... :o
Did you tone down the brighter yellow in the "Stowe Lake" picture? Either way, it doesn't look distracting to me anymore. Now it just adds interest. Good job! The sky in "Wood on Beach" looks a little better, but still a little strange ... I thing if it was more uniform it would look more natural. And I hope you didn't change the contrast or anything in the wood. You did a great job with the DoF in it.

You have some great work in that gallery! Keep 'em coming!
