I have a Rebel 350XT that I'm considering selling to a co-worker. I purchased this camera at one of the chain camera stores...Ritz Camera. Upon purchase, I opted for the "replace it if it breaks" warranty offered by Ritz. I got two years coverage.

I read everything (including the fine print) in the contract and don't see anything Y/N about being able to transfer the warranty that is left to him.

I've never dealt with this before, and I don't want wool to be pulled over either of our eyes concerning a possible trasaction...especially should he ever have to use the warranty.

Has anyone had any experience that they can offer concerning this?

Any info./advice appreciated.

Not that I condone it but how would they know if you took it in if it had problems after you sold it to him;)

Good point.:)

I actually thought about that very thing, but I figured I'd see if there were other ways around it...just in case.

How long left on the warranty?

Around 18 months give or take a few days.

Works for me. I mean, what's the practical difference anyway.

Zero, and for that matter I dont see why warranty on items bought overseas arent honoured in any countyr. I maen after all they are portable. I bought my mac in KL as Apple have a world wide warranty on laptops for that exact reason
