Hey everyone, as promised, heres a little test with the filter inaction.

As you might know Hoya and other brand names filters of this size cost quite a bit. The filter came in from American Eagle Filters and Accessories (http://stores.ebay.ca/AMERICAN-EAGLE-FILTERS-ACCESSORIES). The delivery was very fast.

Anyways here's a product shot. The Filter thickness is about 0.5cm and the great thing is that its multicoated all for $10.

Ok here's a cropped comparison taken during mid afternoon :

Click the links for the full images.

Looking at the cropped sections, the extra bit of lens flare may look horrendous but its not all that bad considering the full image and the $10 price tag.

What do you think guys?

How does it fare in other shots? Personally I think it's a waste of money, based on this test.

If I use filters (certain environments) I prefer the B+W MRC filters.. why put cheap glass on expensive glass?

I haven't tested them in ages though, I will do one like your this week and post the results...

Why use a filter?

If you are going to, buy a good one.
