We just bought a Cybershot DSC-N1 and I cannot seem to lower the volume of the beeps and picture click. I've found the volume option on the menu, but raising or lowering the volume "lever" doesn't seem to have any effect on the actual volume. Any ideas? Is there a problem with my camera, or is it just me? Also, has anyone managed to completely mute the camera? Thanks all!

hi..

you cannot lower the volume of beep/click sound

the volume setting in menu options is to adjust volume in movies playback

to mute all sounds, go to menu --> setup --> setup 2 -->
click on BEEP
there r 3 option :
shutter : everything else is mute except focus sound n shutter shound
on : all beep and shutter sound activated
off : no sound at all....

hope this can help

n i think there's nothing wrong with your camera

Hi Che,

Thanks so much for answering my question. I had no idea about setup 2. Ha! I'm such an idiot.
