Is Beach Camera a reliable online store? I'm looknig to buy a 30D and lens so I can use the double rebates. Also, what is rumored to come out to replace the 30D? Would it be worth it to wait seeing as the rebates won't apply to it?

I just ordered a lens from them last week. Shipped the same day, and received it packaged properly. Couldn't have been happier.

I've only used them once and I am very happy with them. I ordered a camera on Monday evening and I didn't pay extra for fast shipping. The web page said free shipping would take 7-10 days so I was surprised to receive a FedEx tracking number the next day. I received my camera today - three days after I placed the order and one day earlier than Fed-Ex had estimated. The camera was in a factory sealed box. I couldn't be happier with Beach Camera.

I have purchased items from Beach Camera in the past and they have some really good deals plus their customer service is really good. I have never had any other store ship the item that I have purchased the very same day. Their packaging was really good and sturdy too because my Fed Ex man seems to like to beat things around and yet my item made it to me without a single problem. The fact that it arrived promptly is something else that really took me by surprise. I was thinking that it was going to take 10 days to receive my item and it only took like 3 or 4. I honestly would highly recommend that you consider them for whatever you are planning to purchase. I would say go ahead and purchase the 30D from them because you will surely be more than happy with your purchase.

I bought the SD700 at Etronics = total nightmare :mad:

S3 from Beach = shipped same day (for FREE), no sales "confirmation" call :D

I've only had one experience with Beach and would rate them highly. Ordered a video camera last Dec and it arrived quickly. Keep in mind they promise factory fresh, which doesn't always mean factory sealed. I know mine was a returned item or something because the box had been previously opened and the battery was already charged. No problems with the camera though. I would have rather the camera had been factory sealed, but I don't have a good reason for feeling that way really. I still had the full warranty after all. Just be aware of that possibility.
