:p :p :p just kidding! :p :p :p :D :D
i went to the store to try it out.. but its dang bulky.. too bulky for my liking. the ISO performance is awesome though, just like my gf's F30, thats the thing that lured me in and tha manual zoom.. (zoom ring) but everything else about is not so great :( i liked the manual zoom, large EVF (comapred to S3) and super duper great ISO stuff..
but then again, its bulky, lens is fixed (in a away that u cant attach tcon and macro .. i think, well thats what the salesman told me) so did i say its bulky? its like same size as the Rebel XT I think.. im not ready to depart from my S3 just yet.. heck i dont think i will ever be =D for now im a happy camper hhehehe
so yea sorry to those i might've allerted wit the subject line :p

Fuji UZ are always built like a rock.
Did you test out if high ISO compensate for lack of IS to whatever extend? If it can... I might defect; seriously. Don't tell anybody this or the Pana folks might lynch me.
Edit: I meant at the longer end of the focal length. I already have the answer on wide.

 lol sorry.. but did that feel like u were on a rollercoaster? :p i think i'll be happy with my S3 till somethin like it comes out BUT with high ISO (with good quality of course), an 1024x768 at 30fps with stereo.. *drool*

actually the Fuji's grip was very nice.. the grooves fit my fingers well :) too bad the camera as whole was chunky :p its still a nice cam tho dont get me wrong on that :o

like a rock, thats right. i love the F30's solid feel for that.. but anyway the S6500fd.. its a bit shaky at the tele, but then i only tried up to ISO800.. im sure at ISO1600, its perfectly fine.. keep in mind i do have shaky hands and the camera was a bit big for my liking.. maybe that affected it.. i had my gf's xD card.. dono why i didnt save em..
maybe i'll go back and take some shots.. ive spent over 1000+ there n im only a teenager, they better let me take some shots to take home.. OR i could buy it, test it, and return.. hmmm

Thanks for answering my query. I don't think I'd sacrifice optical IS and settle only for small prints made from ISO1600. On longer end of the focal length; that is.

hey you have the F30.. you want more zoom on that? cuz thats all the S6500fd is to me.. 3x vs 12x zoom and full manual controls.. the F30 is a rockin camera i love it! :D
