I know there have been a lot of threads on the best adapters to use for this camera, the general consensus being that the lensmate adapter wins hands down, but was wondering whether anyone else had gambled on the third party ones available on the likes of ebay? I ordered this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=30066&item=140041113858 the other day and have either just struck lucky or stumbled across a good, cheap!, alternative. It's alluminium, perfect fit and comes with hood, UV filter ( which I probably won't use! ), and lens cap. I did email another buyer before purchase as he had left feedback saying he had to make a minor adjustment ( he replied saying he had to 'file off some material from one of the locking flanges to make room for the lock pin to pop out' ) but the feedback otherwise appears to be very positive. I'm UK based, hence the lensmate adapter not being ideal ( customs to worry about for starters! ) and like most others here didn't fancy a tacky bit of Canon branded plastic! Was wondering if anyone else had gambled and whether their experiences are positive or negative, I certainly thought long and hard about risking an ebay purchase but now wish I'd done it ages ago!

Ive had to file on a few before but that is production. lensmate may go threw all theirs by hand and pick out the bad ones.

There are 3 tabs on the adapter so you have 3 tries for it to fit. The lensmate is just plain the ones on e-bay have little red dots but you dont have to go by this dot to line it up. Try it if the tab doesnt lock, rotate it 1/3 of a turn and try it again. Go all the way around till you find the best location and where it fits the best and leave it there.

Well this is the ebay one - not too shabby for a tenner all in! You'll have to forgive the 'not so great' pic's, appears my son's fuji is far too complex for me :D
