I know each sitaution can be interprated differently, but in strict terms when would one be using the different metering modes

Evaluative
Partial
Centre weighted average

And If anyone wants to get technical on how they do their job, please do

Evalulative for most shooting.

Center weighted average for subject and background are near same brightness but you want the subject exposed correctly.

Partial metering when the subject differs in brightness greatly from background. (Doesn't work as well as spot since the partial area is rather big)
