i think this looks like the lense bowerR64 uses....

bower or anyone else that has this lense.
how do you like this lense? it's used on ebay, could there be anything wrong with it? that is as long as no one dropped it? they seem cheap in price compared to the new, sony, canon and the like. they're in the neighborhood of like $150 or more.

figured couldn't hurt to try if i get it cheap enough.

The canon lens is better, ive never tried the sony. Ive tried a 1446 sony lens and it was VERY good but i have not tried the 1758 sony lens.

There are many models of the sony lens. 1758=1.7X 58mm thats how they are usualy rated. Mine is a 1.4X 46mm thats why its 1446. Depending on wich lens you have.

When using the canon there is no doubt there is anything wrong. If you have a focus problem or somthing is blury or somthing there is no doubt its because of the lens. If you use somthing other then the canon it leaves some doubt it could be a problem but its not a cheap lens.
