My idiot brother borrowed the camera and reset the file names. SO everything coming out is dcp_0002.jpg etc.
IOs there a way to make it increase? It was at dcp_1100.jpg or something like that.

That almost sounds like you put a card from a different camera in there and it changed the file name.
