wow, these are GREAT, esp without the IS...

what settings did u use? and did u use the Twilight Mode or Manual/ISO? Any tweaking of the exposure control?

I was using the manual control and adjusted the exposure - more zoom = more exposure time.

All the photos were taken at 80 ISO.

Even with my 700IS - IS becomes irrelevant when it comes to manual mode with high exposure times. IS for me 95% is useless in manual mode, because exposure is always long.

IS becomes usefull for those "indoor" auto flashless pictures. Oh, and PERFECT for recording movies, without IS recording video can make someone dizzy from watching it.

Can you do stich assist witha long exsposure?


would be cool to see a night time slow shutter panorama

Yea, I can do a switch assist but I will need an occilating tripod. Otherwise the image will be blurry beyond belief, even with IS having long exposure makes the IS useless.
