What are the differences between the SD700IS and the SD800IS and is it worth spending the extra $50 or so for the SD800IS?

What are the differences between the SD700IS and the SD800IS and is it worth spending the extra $50 or so for the SD800IS?Some differences:

SD800:

wide angle (28mm)
DIGIC III
face recognition
7.1 MP
ISO 1600
'Aquarium' mode (seriously)

There are probably more, but that's all I can think of off the top of my head. As far as whether or not it's worth it, head on over to DPReview and read any one of the bizillion threads on the subject. The topics range from ranking the SD800 as the best thing to ever happen to the world to ranking it just above Adolf Hitler. :D

But seriously, everyone seems to be pretty opinionated on this particular subject, but it really depends on your requirements.

i suggest u play around with each camera before you buy it...

see if the controls feel comfortable to use...

also look at the LCDs...do they look the same or different? the sd700 and the sd550 models for instance lack built-in LCD protectors (a plastic film) that keeps the LCD from being scratched. the SD630 has it and i think other models have them as well. check the battery life on each camera.

again ill reiterate that i like the idea of the wide-angle capability on the sd800.

image stabilization is a plus but look at the sd900 night pictures thread. that proves that you dont NEED the IS to take beautiful pictures either.
