c-5000 that won't focus

Hi,

I have a C-5000. It has been a great camera, but it has always had a hard time focusing. It isn't a big problem for outside pics, but when there is a lot going on inside it can be almost impossible to focus. And by the time it does focus the shot is usually gone.

Any ideas?

What shooting mode is your C-5000 in, how is the auto focus area set, how much light is there indoors, and what do you mean by "a lot going on inside"?
