Hi,

Anyone know how to use external flashes with the Kodak P880? I got an oldschool flash, a National PE-387S and I think I need a sync cord to make it work. Anyone know what I need? I've been looking and I think i might need a Male to 2.5mm cord. Please let me know :)

thanks

the sync chord plug is above the USB connection on the left (from rear) side of the camera, it has a small cover over it. It appears that the new Kodak P20 Zoom Flash features TTL with zoom and bounce flash capabilities is dedicated for use with P880.

It can be risky to use other than the recommended flash because the flash trigger voltage might fry the electronics inside the camera. I think on balance, I would stick with the P20 unit, and since it is TTL it would be a better flash.
