I love taking pictures, but right now I'm using a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T1.......it takes good pictures sometimes but alot come out blurry and when it comes to dark or night shots it dies. I'm been taking alot of night action shots lately, like skateboarding at night or jumping off a wall into a giant pile of sand.....fun. Anyway, I've been looking around and the Pentax K100D came up. It looks like it is the perfect camera, but before I go spend $600+ do you guys have any other suggestions. Thanx!

The only way to achieve night action shots is whit flash, which defeats the night setting a bit... but that is basically the only way to go. And then a DSLR is the best choice. Whether then the K100 is the best choice, I can not tell you.

Look at the Fuji F30... I'm doing that at the moment. It's apparently in a class all it's own (for a compact) in terms of low-light / night shots.

I own the DSC-T1 as well, but never really considered using it to take action shots at night. The P&S camera is simply limited but it serves the purpose for which I wanted at the time--a small pocket camera. For action photos, I use one of my Nikon dSLRs--sometimes with a flash, but most of the time without a flash since I own a couple of VR lenses.
