I currently have an older HP camera and I am looking to upgrade.

Budget

* What budget have you allocated for buying this camera? Please be as specific as possible.
I don't want to spend over $300.

Size

* What size camera are you looking for? Or does size not matter at all to you?
The camera needs to be compact enough to carry around in my purse while at the bars or concerts.

Features

How many megapixels will suffice for you?
6+

* What optical zoom will you need? (None, Standard = 3x-4x, Ultrazoom = 10x-12x, Other - Specify)
Standard zoom should be fine

* How important is “image quality” to you? (Rate using a scale of 1-10)
9

Do you care for manual controls?
No

General Usage

* What will you generally use the camera for?
It will be used mostly for candid shots of family and friends. I will also use it to shot scenery on vacations and to take pictures of bands.

* Will you be making big prints of your photos or not?
The biggest print I would want to make would be 8x10 but that would be on rare occasions.

Will you be shooting a lot of indoor photos or low light photos?
Yes.

Will you be shooting sports and/or action photos?
Yes.

Miscellaneous

Are there particular brands you like or hate?
Im open but would prefer not to use a Kodak camera.

Are there particular models you already have in mind?
None so far.

It's now selling within your price window. It's a great indoor/outdoor camera with "standard" zoom, should handle all your needs and fit your budget. You can find its review here on this site's "Reviews & Info" section.
