Budget

* What budget have you allocated for buying this camera? Please be as specific as possible.

Probably around $500 or less for the camera itself

Size

* What size camera are you looking for? Or does size not matter at all to you?

I'd love an ultra compact, but can live with a compact

Features

Wide mode would be good.

How many megapixels will suffice for you? 7.2

* What optical zoom will you need? (None, Standard = 3x-4x, Ultrazoom = 10x-12x, Other - Specify)

* How important is “image quality” to you? (Rate using a scale of 1-10)

I want good pix, so I guess a 10, but I say 10 based on a "non-photography" scale. I dont know much about photography, so my eye probably isnt as critical as the pros.

Do you care for manual controls?

It would be nice to have the option available.

General Usage

* What will you generally use the camera for?
Ebay shots, family photos, pix of my aquarium/fish, vacation shots (disney)

* Will you be making big prints of your photos or not?

I work for Kinko's, so I probably will occasionally.

Will you be shooting a lot of indoor photos or low light photos? Yes

Will you be shooting sports and/or action photos? Just my fish

Miscellaneous

Are there particular brands you like or hate? Canon

Are there particular models you already have in mind? DMC-LX2 or DSC-T10

(If applicable) Do you need any of the following special features? (Wide Angle, Image Stabilization, Weatherproof, Hotshoe, Rotating LCD)

IS

I had a Canon S70 that I was happy with as far as pic quality. I am really interested in the DMC-LX2 as I like the features it offers. I tend to buy items with more features that I need/desire just in case. I dont want to find that I need more control than what my cam offers. I like the DSC-T10 based on size, but the Panny looks like it has alot to offer. My only concern is the noise. In all seriousness...will a person who isnt really into photography notice it, or find it to be such a big deal? I am planning on purchasing this weekend.

Thanks,
