im sick of spamming the board with my newbie questions!
So does anyone got AIm so i cna im you guys and ask questions?
mine is bigshoey32 if you guys would like to add me ill mostly have questions about canon s3

The board is here for three reasons:
1. So that Jeff can pursue an interest in reviewing digital cameras.
2. So that Jeff can earn a living.
3. So that people can discuss various cameras.

Posting newbie questions is welcome as we're all willing to assist by providing answers. Most of us don't use instant messaging systems. That includes me. You'll get answers and discussion of the answer here so instead of getting one guy giving you an answer that might or might not be correct, you get several and then a general debate over the accuracy before eventually either somebody summarises the thread or it drifts way off course. Either way you'll get all the answers you need.

If you try to get personal, private answers then it's rather a diservice to everybody else as other people might have the same questions/problems and might like to read the answers/solutions.

I agree with Rhys. Your questions may be of value to a larger audience. For every question that someone asks, there are probably thousands also looking for that answer, but haven't registered and asked. That's why a community like this works and has value...

And, even if you ask a question and someone responds that the question has been asked and answered before...you know...and everyone else who didn't know finds out that at least there is an answer...

The Canon forum is a generally friendly forum with a lot of S3 owners that seem to truly enjoy helping others.
