I am shopping around for a SD card for the D80 that I will be ordering very soon. I found a 2 GB Sandisk Extreme 3 SD card for about 95 dollars at Adorama. Is this a good price and more importantly, is this a good fast SD card for the 80? I had planned on spending around a hundred for an SD card. Is that reasonable? What are some of the best SD cards around that would work well with the D80? Is 2 GB sufficient? Lots of questions.;)

Buy it and don't look back, it's simply the best deal in SD cards right now, I love love love mine, and according to my personal benchmarks the only thing that outperforms it is a SanDisk Extreme 3 by a small smidgen, and a 4GB one of those costs how much? Probably like 3x more

The only reason it doesn't have 5/5 rating is morons that give it a bad score cause it doesn't work in their device, well duh it has to support 4GB.

I like it so much I'm buying another one on Monday just to have as a backup.

I took your advise and purchased that card from newegg. It arrived today and after a quick format it was working perfectly in my D50. The display reads 1.1k pics on large jpg - fine.. My old 1gb card would take 286 photos at that setting. The card does read very fast in the camera and my card reader. Definitely a good buy for the money!

Are you saying that a 1GB card gets 286 images and a 2GB card gets 1100 images with the same settings?
That does not seem correct. If you double the size of the card you get double the images not four times.

If you actually click on the link that person provided, you will see that it's a 4gb card. I don't really see why you insist on busting my ass like I can't do simple math, but okay whatever does it for you.
