Hi!

Here's the Survey that I found to fill out...any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I currently have a Kodak Easyshare that is fairly new but I can't stand the bulky size, tiny screen, and crappy battery life.

Budget

* What budget have you allocated for buying this camera? Please be as specific as possible.

$250 - $400

Size

* What size camera are you looking for? Or does size not matter at all to you?

A thin camera that is not bulky.

Features

How many megapixels will suffice for you? 5 -8.1

* What optical zoom will you need? Standard

* How important is “image quality” to you?

9 out of 10

Do you care for manual controls?

Not with this particular camera.

General Usage

* What will you generally use the camera for?

Mainly social activities as well as a trip to Ireland in the Fall

* Will you be making big prints of your photos or not?

At the largest 8x10 but not very frequently.

Will you be shooting a lot of indoor photos or low light photos?

Yes

Will you be shooting sports and/or action photos?

No

Miscellaneous

Are there particular brands you like or hate?

Not a fan of Bulky Kodak Cameras

Are there particular models you already have in mind?

Panasonic FX01 , Fuji Finepix V10, Sony DSCN1

At this point I'm leaning more towards the Panasonic for the crystal clear LCD display.

(If applicable) Do you need any of the following special features? (Wide Angle, Image Stabilization, Weatherproof, Hotshoe, Rotating LCD)

No

Thanks in advance for the help

PS - This is by far the best digital camera website out there!

check out the Canon SD630 and SD700. They range from $300 to $350 and I think they'll suit your needs.

I've got a Kodak, but Canon is the best brand name out there for digital cameras.

Thanks for the advice! I headed over to Best Buy today and without even asking about the Canon's both employees I spoke with there raved about them above all the others. I ended up with the Canon SD700 and so far I am LOVING it!

Thanks again!

Them are some big words ;)
Where is your analysis of this study?

Yeah it sounds like the PowerShot SD series would be perfect for you.

Nevermind, you already bought the SD700, good choice.
