It's been awhile since i had used my nifty-fifty (or thrifty-fifty however you call it ;)) so i thought i would take it along. I was also trying to get familiar with my flash and thought today would be a good day to practice some fill flash. The time of the day wasn't perfect for portrait style shots but i tried my best. Little to no PP please C&C welcome. How did i do with the flash?

Great shots! My favorite is the next to last. I think it is really striking.

I don't know anything about flash, sorry ... but I think you did a great job! Especially on #1.

Very nice. Good job. with the expceptions being the last two, I think maybe +2/3 FEC would be in order to brighten your subject up a little bit more. The last one is my favorite.

looks great. might want to work on your photoshop skills in getting out the blemishes on the forehead...it's all about the healing brush for me.

thanks toriaj, michaelb, aparmley, and adam75south for the comments. I show my gf the pics i take but she always say that they are good..... so i can't really go by what she says. Plus... of course she is gonna say that the pics of her are the best

My photoshop skills are pooop to put it nicely, i guess it's time to start messing with it a bit. Anyone can tell me how to do some of that skin smoothing that i always see in fashion pics? In fact i found some Photoshop actions on some website, but i'm not sure how to use them
