1. Would you suggest getting a Warm Polarizer (combination of circular/linear and warming filter) or a separate Circular Polarizer and a Warming filter?

2. Do you know if the Tiffen UV Protector filter is multi-threaded? I know everyone's recommended the Hoya Pro1 but it is a little expensive. That said, I am unable to find information to describe whether the tiffen is mult-coated or not.

Your input is as always, greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

The thin tiffen does not have front threads

thin (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=163474&is=REG)

And I would get a linear polarizer.

I see no use for a warming filter, but that is just me.

So I guess getting the Hoya is the only real viable option?

If that's the case, here's what I'm looking at:

1. Hoya 62mm Haze UV(0) Pro 1 (S-HMC) Super Multi-Coated Glass Filter (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=168213&is=REG)
2. Tiffen 62mm Warm Polarizer Glass Filter (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=72410&is=REG)

I guess after that, all I need is a hood, a case, a zoom add-on (down the road), and an extra battery.

Why do you use a linear when all reports say that a circular is needed for autofocus cameras?

I read where a circular polarizer makes things "colder", thus the need for the warming filter -- however, I've just turned on the Colorization option on the FZ20 to "WARM" mode to compensate. :)

The FZ cameras do not need a circular polarizer, it has to do with the fact that SLR autofocus camera use a split beam mirror and most digital cameras do not.
Just save yourself some money and buy a linear

No biggie, since I got a free Circular when I bought my UV (was a two pack deal and I thought I was interested in the UV only) :) :) :)
