The title says most of it. I went into the Edit section of my post, and couldn't figure out how to delete the post and thread with it. (the post was the first in the thread) Am I just stupid, or is there something wrong with the editor?

-bastetbabe27I wrote a message, posted it under yours, and then hit "delete." When I did, I got a dialog box that had a default check box marked "do not delete." The other choice was "delete," so I checked that and then clicked on the "delete" button in the dialog box. The message disappeared, as advertised. What was your experience?

That's just the thing, there was no button that said "delete" anywhere that I could find. Hitting "edit" didn't lead me to an option for deleting either. I'm pretty sure I also hit delete on my keyboard and nothing happened.

Most forums you can't delete your own thread if others have posted, others you can if no one else has posted yet but more than likely this is one of the forums that is set up so that you can't delete your thread regardless of whether or not there has been replies.

So no, you're not an idiot :D

-bastetbabe27That you're not showing the entire web image on your screen? The "delete" functions tend to be on the bottom of the screen on my MacBook, which has a 1680 X 1050 pixel display. If yours is smaller, perhaps you don't get the whole screen showing? Did you try scrolling around to see if there was something you couldn't see at first glance? That's all I can think of.

When you hit the edit button, you get a screen where youa gain can hit an edit button, or "go advanced". This will give you an option to delete a message.

I don't think you can delete posts that start a thread (IE: the first post in a thread)
If you want it deleted (in the future) just PM the Admin

Thanks all. No, I looked everywhere on the screen for the button, and went to the 'Go Advanced' section, and there was no delete button anywhere. It must have been because it was the post that started a thread. It's not a big deal, in the future I'll just e-mail the admin if I can't get it to delete.
