I have been happy with my film ELPH for many years now. However it's time to upgrade into the Digital Age. Reviews for the s500, and its compact size make it the ideal camera for me.
However, on Target.com a user posted in the s500 section that his s400 was perminatly dammaged by condensation when taking the camera from warm temperature(outside at beach) to cold temperature(into a/c car). He also claims that it's not covered in manufacturer warranty but it is a common problem. He said he posted his warring in the s500 section because he felt Canon had not corrected the problem.
It sounds reasonable, yet unfounded. Can anybody confirm/deny his claim?
